The smoothie for prevention and treatment of women with premenstrual syndrome
Yield: 2 servings (about 8 ounces each)
1 1/2 cups tomatoes
1 large slice of ginger
1 tsp of curcumin
1 cup of rice milk


1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree about 1 minute
2. Blend on high speed about 1 minute or until the mixture is thick and the ice is well crushed. Add more green tea drink if needed
3. Serve immediately

The finding the natural ingredient for prevention and treatment of premenstrual syndrome to replace the adverse effects of conventional medicine has been facing many obstacles. and often in green house. its steroidal glycosides isolated from the ripe fruit of the cherry tomato(6) was found effectively in treatment of symptoms of PMS in women through the effect of metabolization of steroidal hormone in exhibiting various physiological activities(5).
Carotenoids, another major constituent found in tomato, may also associate with symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). According to the University of Texas Medical Branch, women with PMS have hound to strongly related to deficiency of vitamin A(7).
