Hirsutism is a form of skin diseases with abnormal growth of hair on a person's face and body, especially on a woman with PCOs as a result of over production of testosterone.
According to the recent reports of some well known institutions, The ingredient of natural sources, including green tea(1) may process of clinical values and promising potential for pharmaceutical use for production of next generation medicine for reduced risk and treatment of Hirsutism with little or no adverse effects.

Green tea, one of most common beverage originated from South East Asian now has been drunk and loved all over the world due to its commercial profits and health benefits.
According to the The Ben May Institute for Cancer Research, and The Tang Center for Herbal Medicine, green tea catechin (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG shows potent inhibition in cell-free but not in whole-cell assays of 5 alpha-reductase may be useful or the prevention or treatment of androgen-dependent disorders(3). Its phytochemical catechins, also expressed the strong anti 5 alpha-dihydrotestosterone-dependent abnormalities by inhibiting accessory sex gland growth in animal study(4).
Dr Grant P1, Ramasamy S. said, "Green tea, which contains epigallocatechins and also inhibits 5-alpha reductase(exhibited androgen and estrogen metabolism in reduced the level of free testosterone in aging population), thereby reducing the conversion of normal testosterone into the more potent DHT"(2).

Carotenoids, a major chemical constituents found in carrot also process the inhibited effect of reduced androgen secretion and/or androgen action, and removal of terminal hair in Hirsutism of women with PCOs, according to the University of Verona(5).
Isotretinoin (INN) (etymology and pronunciation), also known as 13-cis retinoic acid, promoted antiandrogen effect for treatment in hirsutism and acne by acting as 5 alpha-reductase inhibitor(6).

Licorice, also known as sweetwood, is the genus Glycyrrhiza, belongings to the family Fabaceae, native to the Mediterranean and certain areas of Asia,  used in traditional medicine to treat treat skin diseases, coughs, constipation, bronchitis, inflammation, arthritis, etc.According to the joint study lead by the Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, topical licorice effectively inhibited idiopathic hirsutism in women in a double-blind, randomized placebo-controlled study was performed on 90 female subjects(7). In a review of total of 33 studies licorice reduced luteinising hormone (LH), prolactin, fasting insulin and testosterone, regulated ovulation, improved metabolic hormone profile and improved fertility outcomes in PCOS(8) of that promote the hormonal balancing of excess testoterone in production unwanted hair growth.
Dr. Armanini D and researchers at the University of Padua said, "licorice can reduce serum testosterone probably due to the block of 17-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase and 17-20 lyase. Licorice could be considered an adjuvant therapy of hirsutism and polycystic ovary syndrome"(9).

The discover of smoothie containing green tea, carrot and licorice may act as a cornerstone for the next generation of effective natural sources in reduced risk and treatment of Hirsutism. Women with high risk of the disease due to family history, obesity should drink as least one serving daily. Women with chronic PCOs induced  Hirsutism should drink as much as they can, depending to the digestive toleration.
